Depression is only able to exist within the
density of the physical and mental worlds.
In our spiritual selves lies the answer of
freedom.
Perception is the Key to attitude, our
attitude is crucial to our perceptions.
The absolute truth about our state of mind
all depends on how we Feel
about anything.
If anyone has a problem with something the
first step is an objective
evaluation of exactly why it is presenting a
problem.
Years of analysis can never answer the
reasons for a persons state of
depression unless the person assumes Control
and takes the necessary
action to change the situation.
The first step is the realization that you
Do have Control, You have the Right and the
Ability to effect the changes required.
The People Pleasing nature of most of us is
to endure childhood just waiting for the day
that We Have Control over Everything and
waking up Depressed at middle age. What we
discover is that everything seems to be
controlling us. The first time we experience
depression is at a very early age when we
really have our heart set on something we
really want and someone else denies it from
us. After this the pattern is set, always
someone denying our desires.
As
children we are subject to virtually
absolute control otherwise as we are granted
permission to play with fire we might
destroy the house and everything in it. It
takes a very wise parent who understands how
to balance guidance and encourage free
choice. In most instances parents demand
total subservience or no guidance at all. it
is not until we start maturing with a still
undeveloped sense of controlling our destiny
allowing others to dictate our lives and
find ourselves powerless because we have
never asserted ourselves.
Whether it is a job, a relationship or any
area of your life where there a
problem that really goes to the heart in a
hurtful way the result is hurt and
depression. If it can be recognized it must
be dealt with. So many times all
the person has to do is confront the cause
and simply speak out about it.
Most people are people pleaser and will make
accommodations, most
difficulties are not intentional only
unknowing.
Being confrontational is usually
unnecessary, diplomacy, compromise and
fairness can usually alleviate almost any
situation unless it is intentional. If it
is intentional and the situation cannot be
worked out it may be time for a big change.
I most cases a key blocking element for one
or both parties is that of fear. If either
party is fearful about what solving the
problem will do for the situation it will be
a much harder battle. The choice still
remains, solve it or suffer.
If a person is doing what they feel good
about, depression cannot exist.
